I'd heard that there were more people alive now than had ever lived on the
earth previously - ie the living outnumber the dead for the first time in
history, apparently since the mid-'80's.
Now if that's the real figure (no idea if it is or not), are we dealing with
split souls, or the gradual spiritual thinning-out of the human race?

Incidentally, it may be relevant to the reincarnation idea:
approximately 10% of all the people who have ever lived are alive today.
Before long we'll be running out of past lives!

I've heard mystic types saying that things have changed and that new
souls can no longer incarnate from the lower planes (it has been said
here too I think). I've also read claims that the gateway to the Garden
of Eden is *temporarily* open to us. Why? What's supposed to be going on
here?
