Yes, I have been thinking about the posts about
grounding lately and about the exercise which many
find useful in creating an outlet for the K
energy.
I talked with a yoga teacher some time ago and she
said it was very important to give the increased
energy something to do, some outlet.
At first, I couldn't understand what she was talking
about as I at that time was tired and slept
constantly. The regular walks I did last winter
were been impossible to keep up. I walk up the same
hills I did with gusto and pure mania
less than a year ago and now I'm tired before I'm
even up the first hill, so I have given up walking
that stretch. I doubt I could manage to get up
there these days. (insert melancholic smile here)
But your positive experiences with being in nature,
being outside and doing some form of gentle exercise,
very much reflects my own and adds an explanation for
the hard physical labor traditionally a part of
monastic life in many faiths. :)
It seems to me
the energy wants an outlet and when in sleep or
when relaxing makes itself feel present in the body
as energy rushes and spontaneous out of body
experiences and all the other stuff we know so well.
In the waking hours, the energy abates somewhat
and can be suppressed by forcusing.
But the energy is always there, so in the waking and
active hours, the body would in luck
find an activity to give the energy a healthy and
useful outlet.
If not, the energy may easily turn to oversensitivity,
increased anger and other negative stuff.
I noticed today that when in the right
amount of physical activity (very slackadaisical
for the time being)
the energy goes into the appropriate
body parts to increase muscle output and finds outlet
that way. :)
Other positive outlets may be writing, painting,
cooking, anything creative. :)
But errrr... this is all old news to you. :)
One last thing. I have always wondered why the K never
took me away from my 12h work day job, as I thought it
would after having read several stories of awakening
on the web.
I expected to have to lose the job and get lots of "predicted" problems due to old
injuries in the physical body but none of that happened.
I must assume that the work has been my chop wood and
carry water.
Now when I think back, I think it served to ground me
to a great degree and provide a firm anchor to
"reality" when I wanted to become a monk and
run off to the
Himalayas in search of a monastery to join
(terrorize ? ;) )
I still expect to lose the job any day, or be
unable to work, but at least, I will stick with it
for as long as I can or until K finds there is
something more useful for me to do elsewhere. :)
Thanks for the discussions and sharing of
experiences. :)
Best regards,
Amanda.
