Hi Andy -
Your posting arrived at a very good time for me. I am home recovering
from emergency eye surgery. Right now I am too well to be confined to
bed but not well enough yet, nor can I see well enough, to really do
anything. So I've been spending more time for mediation -- no sight
required for that :) -- hoping it will help.
I also recently attended teachings by Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso on
emptiness, where he advised us to use illness as a tool on the path and
stated that sickness comes from believing in "me" and "mine" as though
they actually exist.
I've been trying to put my situation and mediation and the Khenpo's
teaching together into something that will be healing. Your posting
filled in a lot of the detail for me. Thanks!
Lynne
