Most physicists would hesitate to state it so baldly, though, but that
appears to me be the implication of quantum mechanics.
Most physicists prefer to avoid speculating about the meaning of quantum
mechanics, because the meanings they come up with when they try are too
mind-boggling. They just go ahead with their experiments and hope it
will all make sense one day. Those physicists who do speculate, however,
tend to come to the conclusions we've been discussing: all possible
Universes exist simultaneously and mutually interfere and interact, all
possible configurations of particles and energy exist simultaneously and
mutually interfere and interact. How we choose between them and generate
a perceived reality is a complete mystery, however; assuming we do that,
of course - that too is unclear.
There are lots of popular physics books describing the two-slit
experiment (and others) for those who want to read more. No doubt there
are good descriptions on the Web somewhere too.
