The "M" in So-Ham is pronounced "NG" (a nasal sound). And the So-Ham mantra
is used by males. Sa-Ham is the eqivalent mantra for women.
And Swami means a *person who is [in harmony with] himself/herself*. It's a
fully perfect expression of the essence of the whole Yoga system, since Yoga
is an old sanskrit word meaning Unity - a person in complete harmony with
himself/herself - instead of a divided person.
