OKay so he gets to manipulate his degree of autism...sounds too much like me
Brave New World for my liking. Doesnt having complete possession of
faculties defeat what autism is anyway????? Further if he can mechanically
reproduce the patterns of enlightenment then chances are that he was not
NATURALLY intended for enlightenment. We have all mentioned that no matter
what mediation or breathing exercises we do if it wasnt meant to be then it
will NOT be....what makes this guy so special? Although if you want to
argue through the theory of "fate" and "predestination" you could say that it
is predestined that he be enlightened by such atrificial means...but that i
think is highly unlikely. Even with "fate" every action must serve a purpose
in a larger picture of life...and what would artificial enlightenment be for?
  I guess to make it easier for everyone to be enlightened which would make
for a "better" functioning society?
