Just a quick response Christopher, and you may not like my way of saying it, but I am taking the risk. I mean the following very positive, see if you can't consider a new (your) authentic approach to the end of life experience, also see if you can't find a new (your) authentic understanding of incarnation... The reincarnation theory as we westerners want to, or have been led to understand it, is not able to sort out the complexity AND simplicity of reality. Remember, time is only a working concept, an agreed upon commonly shared tool that we (by limited consensus) invented to make sense of the seemingly contradictory realities of creation and the void (which together are a limited circumscription of Truth). Time and dimensionalities of space are more like game pieces (well crafted), rules of a game. Time as we 'concocted' it, is something that uses a linear approach to keep *holographic and fractal-o-graphic circumstance and instance* under (for us) tidy control as history. When we remember something as though it was from the past (and it may even feel like our own experience and memory) it is not, we don't own those experiences personally, exclusively. The 'Akashic records' concept is a more workable theory, it leads to a quicker resolution and dissolution of a limited personal ego (another too simple concept).
I have remembered and seen a lot of "death bed (?) experiences" none of them displaying anything you describe. (I know the risk I take in saying this the way I do)... It does not work that way. Please consider a lot of what you wrote as very conceptual. (Re)incarnations don't work the way the current popular viewpoint *prescribes* it. Scratch all the concepts that have anything to do with judgement, karma and maya as we westerners like to understand it, death and deathbed (how odd), mistakes and learning from mistakes, self incrimination, predestination, guilt etc. After you scratched those concepts, scratch those words as well, and...while you are at it, keep on scratching until there is not too much left, this may take an eternity... another concept... but let's keep that one for now, because..." AFTER ALL WE ARE"... scratch that one too at some point... but not yet OK? Stick around some more.
(-: who is the scratcher, and what is the scraught :-)
Love, Wim
