This is really addressed to Kim who asked the
question. This is what I believe (at present).
We are merged with Divine Oneness before birth. At
birth we are separated from Divine Oneness and develop
as a personality that develops as a separated being
but that can link back to our Soul and to the
Onenessthrough our additional senses (intuition, third
eye, etc). Our task is to return to that Oneness.
However, a personality has to die to itself in order
to return to Oneness. After all, if we are separate,
we aren't united, like a drop of water that has spilt
from a glass of water. Going from a droplet to a
glassful means the individual droplet disappears.
The power (I call it energy) that grows as we evolve
on the return journey is not for use as the
personality plans...although my understanding is it
can be misused...it is released as part of the work
that our Higher Self directs. The work can take many
forms, from painting masterpieces to healing people.
The end result of the evolution, as I understand it,
is to wield love energy (agape) as directed in the
service of what I call the Cosmos. Of those energies,
what we call love is the greatest healing energy
available. So if you love something or someone
unconditionally, the love brings as much correction as
is needed for the person or object that is being
loved. So that is why there are expressions like "I
loved him to death." "loving someone to bits" etc. the
further a person is into denial of the truth or a
situation is corrupted, the greater the correction. So
be aware at all times of what you really love.
