Mr. Kraig is incorrect when he states that Kundalini is a term invented by
westerners. In the book "The Serpent Power" by Arthur Avalon, which consists
of an introduction on Laya Yoga and translations of two old sanskrit texts,
the term Kundalini is mentioned several times, starting right on the first
page. Kundalini is a sanskrit term and is derived from Kundala=coiled.
Kundalini is the goddess in form of a coiled serpent, also called
Kundalini-Shakti. Mr. Avalon translated the term Kundalini-Shakti into
english as serpent power.
