I am not sure I understand your question. Most folks don't get full
blown ESP all at once: they get an incident or an insight here or there,
dreams, deja Vu and synchronicity.. and gradually the sense becomes reliable.
Most folks don't lose the ego all at once, either.. in a higher vibe
state it is less important, and if they are upset or self conscious, it is
more active. As ego diminishes, other senses come forth.
Most folks associate psychic phenomena with the Third eye, tho empathy
may be associated with the heart. Whether your ESP awakens early or late in
your process, partly depends on whether your K-fire is opening the chakras
from top down or from the bottom up.
Every awakening is different.. there are a lot of late night TV psychics
that have a friendly entity that gives them info, but who don't appear to
bear much of the other fruits, and other folks who display vast compassion
and say they have no ESP, like the Dalai Lama.

Well, the impulse to leadership is not necessarily egoistic. It can be a
form of service to other. A good leader is in service to the needs of those
she leads. A lot of brilliant awakened visionaries have been inspired to
leadership, activism and social change, in order to serve the common good.
If one has a talent to inspire others, it is well to follow that talent
and go where it leads.. surrender to it. Talent and inspiration come from
Goddess. There is no point to avoiding making use of the talent out of an
egoistic idea of appearing "spiritual".

Ah, as a Cult leader of sorts, myself, I can tell you that that
projection does not always emanate from the leaders. Followers chose
leaders, not the other way around, like the pup chooses it's master.
I am god and so are you.. Christ said it too, but nobody was listening,
they didn't want to feel their own specialness, so the disciples continued
to make stories of the one and only son of God. selective hearing. He
surrendered to the projections, too.. fine have it your way.. I am what
you think I am. No resistance.
Some of my devotees prefer to focus on God in me instead of God in
themselves.. it frustrates me, sometimes... but mostly I surrender to it,
accept the projections and trust they will know better, once Shakti has had
her way with them. In the meantime, their projections make them very
receptive to the Shakti. It is functional.
God is scary: Angels say "fear not".. where there is fear of God there is
a desire for an intermediary.. so long as there are folks praying for a
teacher, there will be teachers appearing to mediate between the ego and
the Self.
We get what we pray for.. the Jews prayed for a Messiah, the Germans
prayed for charismatic leadership.. and Goddess provides.

Not everyone incarnates for that experience. Some come here to be in the
illusion, and don't wanna find the way out.

I dunno...:) Did I explain it? If I didn't, then please rephrase the
question?
Blessings..
