Cute.. but it is actually a difference in the consciousness of the
energy. Kundalini Shakti is intelligent energy, God consciousness.. it does
not need to be directed, it is smarter than we are, and can only be
channeled, radiated.
It takes the form the recipient needs most. In this case, it waited till
the recipient was in a relaxed, receptive state hours later, before going
to work.
Chi-prana is non intelligent life energy. Trees manufacture it, and you
can see it in the air around them like wiggling sperm-comets that seem to
wink in and out of existence. It is planetary life force that can be
manipulated with imagination.
It can be directed, like in Tai Chi, where the movements are directing
the flow. Most healing work uses Chi, sending it to the location of the
injury to speed healing of the physical tissues.
Shakti is more likely to heal it by bringing up the underlying karmic
issue to be resolved within the recipient, in a non-local way the person
offering the Shakti cannot predict. Synchronicity will lead the recipient
to get the insights they need.
Chi can heal some Karma.. the day to day stresses and some present life
issues, but anything deeper often needs the power of Miracles that is
Shakti.

Since some blockages are not "in" the body, but rather located in the
aura envelope surrounding it, sometimes K. at work there, can be felt. The
energy field generated by the nervous system is much larger than the body.
Other energies impacting on the Shakti-field can be felt, also... areas of
coherence and dissonance.

I would agree.. the description of the energy moving up the spine and
the explosion at the top are classic awakening symptoms.
My question for Kentaro would be why do you tighten your shoulders
against the energy? Focus on relaxing and allowing the energy to do it's
work without resistance on your part. You are safe in Goddess hands, just
let the Kundalini do as it knows best. Relax, and don't worry.
