I think you're right in that even if we stop thinking in terms of "I, me,
mine" all the time, we still need to use these terms to speak. It makes no
sense at all to go round saying "this random buzzing of energies and flows
situated over here (but in no way permanently existing) feels an illusory
need for this other (ditto) to pass the salt". I mean, it's silly.
Maybe you need to maintain an ego, like you need to maintain a nick in
cyberspace, to communicate but see it as equally a matter of convention, not
'real'?

As for the holocaust, they were reduced to bodies and numbers and it sent
them crazy most of the time. But that was not because of any internal
process within them, it was a psychotic and scary state apparatus that did
it to them. I think it's different to be nothing because you have arrived
there yourself and are reasonably ok about it, and to be made nothing by
walking personifications of the death drive...
