Subject: [K-list] Seeking Tantric Tattoo suggestions

Hello folks.

This is Jon-Carl.

I'd like some advice on symbols and images of Tantra.

Please respond to me privately unless the List-Mistress thinks this would be appropriate for everybody to hear about. I think it might be interesting for all.

I live in a place where everybody has tattoos and multiple piercings, and I've been wanting one.

I can get lots of info on how much it hurts, etc, and most of the places I'd like to put tattoos are killers in terms of pain.

This is because I'd like to have a tattoo over (or behind) the heart chakra, the hari center, maybe the back of the throat chakra, maybe the root chakra if I can find a place big enough.

And then I'd like a symbol -- I was thinking of a coiled serpent. At first I was thinking of a serpent that would run all the way up my spine, but too much money and too much of me.

I'm a figure model, so I have to be careful not to distract from the musculature, such as it is.

So I'm thinking about something the size of a plum.

I really like Chinese characters. I am slightly less drawn to Sanskrit characters, especially the one that everyone seems to have. I think you know what that one is. I can't draw it in this format.

Or, I was thinking something in Arabic. An Arabic word nicely constructed as a sigil.

But I figured you guys would know so much about the various traditions.
