I probably did not make it clear on the consequences part. When a substance
user makes his choice of using the drug, he also chooses to let his family
suffer whenever he is under influence. That is the time that he could spend
with his loved one, he chooses to spend it in the dreamy land. That is the
time that he could communicate with his family, he opts for the dreamy
world. In 99% of the cases, the family suffers when one opts for the drug.
I leave one percent for the super-human who can enjoy himself with
substances and still can fulfill his earthling responsabilities of a good
father/mother/son/daughter/brother/sister/neighbour/citizen. I am not a
superhuman, so I choose to stay out of drug.

I have to confess that in the initial phase, when I wasn't too sure about
my k, I wished that I had just kept using psychedelics, instead of
meditation. Luckily I'm not there anymore, and later it turned out that k
was just what I had wanted. Psychedelics are child's play compared to k.
