I used pot, speed, XTC, acid, coke, 'ludes, alcohol, mushrooms, etc. all many
years ago. Preferred the uppers to anything else. Not to say I used any or
all on a daily basis (except coke for a while, sigh). All pre-K. Actually,
when I had my K/2nd chakra party for 10 days, it felt very much like an
extended XTC experience. W/O the awful aftereffects, thank goodness!
These days, my vices are limited to cigarettes and coffee. Thank goodness I
don't have a highly addictive personality for drugs. Now, I tend to think of
drugs as an escape from dealing with real life. I've had enough trips w/o
drugs to know I don't need them to get in touch with the sacred. Many times,
I felt pushed further away from the sacred when taking them anyways. I
figured out I'm here to be here, not try to get away from here. And I feel
that I delayed my own growth wasting time with all the junk. Not to say I
didn't have a good time once in a while! Just good times of a
one-night-stand variety, not the meat & potatoes of life variety.
Interesting set of question! Looking forward to replies!
