I think that fire is a good analogy to anger. Yes, anger can be usefully
turned to action, but yes, also, it must be kept under control or it
will use *any* means to reach its goal, even subconscious ones.

Just as our civilization needed the invention of fire to get going, so
we treat fire with respect and have a Fire Department to control it.
Anger can generate movement to, but where is your Anger Department to
keep your anger positive?
