I used to be a good little boy. I really impressed my folks and whole town by going to Princeton and then to Harvard, and being really smart. . .
And after that approval wasn't enough and I wanted to kill myself even though everybody loved me SO MUCH, I started to spiritually awaken.

And then I looked really crazy and weird to family and friends.

Now I tell people I'm crazy.

And, you know, when I visit old friends and family and my old hometown, where everybody still asks me about Brooke Shields, I realize there is nothing I can do to shatter their myth about me as the good little boy.

However, I can live in freedom, and laugh, knowing that they've got their myth intact, and I have my life.

I have my life.and I have the approval of the folks who really love me. They don't go away, just because we're afraid they will. And if they do....

That's why you gotta make new friends, new family who support who you really are. Like us. And I'm sure a lot of people in your town who might be hiding their true selves from you just as you are hiding from them.

I'm not trying to make this sound easy, or tell you that you should do any particular thing.

I'm just sharing my experience with you and the whole list so that I can continue the dialogue on the real and practical parts of being spiritual beings in this world, not just behind closed doors on every other Saturday.
