Judging Occultism as an inferior path is showing lack of faith in Divine
Will. Limitless manifestation needs every kind of people, Witches and
Buddhas both. All roads lead to Rome, because K. is stronger than any
temporary beliefs in limitation. Take a random survey of how many ex-cult
members are on the list, and you will see that brainwashing doesn't work,
on Kundalites, in the long term. Attempts to persuade only bring up Karma
to be washed away, then you have a shiny clean brain that sparkles with
light.
I tend to think some of what is labeled "occult" mysticism tends to get a
bad rap because it is taken out of context and misunderstood. "Occult" is
just another word for "secret", and folks usually keep secrets coz they
expect to be misunderstood. They will be too, coz most Kundalites know, the
words of religion are codes for experiential knowings that cannot really be
described in words, only approximately pointed at. The infinite is bigger
than all of our ideas about it.
It is really only the workings of the lower chakras that fit readily into
"Teaching", the higher ones are indescribable.. yet in my comparative
studies of world religions, it really does seem like "All roads lead to
Rome". The paths may be different, but the destination is the same.
When the Student is ready, the Teacher appears. Students choose their
teachers, and attract to themselves the experiences they need.
In typical Mystery Schools, the novice student is taught a lot of signs
and symbols, where each candle goes or the proper way to recite the
mantras, or approach the book or wave the incense. Students always make
easy things hard, and faith is at first built by experience.
If the students already believed in themselves, they would not be
attending a Mystery school. So, at the first level faith is placed in
externals, rituals and Gods.
The steps of thought-word-deed are taken and various manifestations are
created, so the student begins to believe in Magic. The veil begins to
thin. At this level, entities and Old Gods are revered by the student, but
are also used as "Astral Baby sitters" by the teacher. They are chosen in
resonance with the student's personality type, or they present themselves
and are tested. Because astral entities live "close to home", they are able
to get the student's attention in the physical and support them with
positive reminders 24/7 where a human teacher in linearity cannot.
Contact with them is good ESP practice, and a sharpening stone for
fledgling discernment. Students keep a diary of the contact and share it
with the Teacher, who monitors it, and checks intuitively to make certain
the entities are being good baby sitters and not playing too many pranks.
Interpreting the information for the student. Lessons and pranks taught by
entities are always reflected of the student's own issues, and thus they
can be very instructive in bringing out the student's weak points and
Karmic issues to be resolved. The student is learning to navigate the
astral realms, and the entity plays tour guide and bodyguard. The astral is
the playground where personal issues are manifested to be resolved, just as
some Kundalites experience a lot of their process thru dreams.
Better there, than in the "real world". They learn to focus the power of
their free will into manifestation, and they learn to surrender to higher
guidance. By that combination, they learn "be careful what you pray for",
by observing their results. The monkey mind ego is given a supervised
chance to play with the power of manifestation, so it can understand
experientially <burnt fingers> that it's not smart enough to do that, and
life works better if you let the Infinite Mind make the decisions.
At the initiation to the second Degree, the student is told that most of
the dogmatic stuff from in the first level no longer matters, and it
doesn't matter where the candles go.. they can forget it, because it was
only scaffolding to build faith, and now the faith is built, the
scaffolding can be dismantled as much as the student is comfortable with.
The focus is turned towards the student's own inner light and wisdom, which
at this point is manifesting more strongly than their self doubt. The
balance of faith has been increased, and insecurity has decreased.
The Old Gods and archetypes are universal on the collective level of the
unconscious. An second level the Students understand that they are equals
with the Old Gods and relate to them differently.. getting to know many of
them, to understand the aspects of consciousness they represent, as
reflections of themselves. They still treat them with respect, as a teacher
one has graduated from... they are continuing to learn respect for all
creatures, good manners and spiritual responsibility... but they are now
"above" the entities, in that they recognise that the entities have
limitations that an embodied human spirit does not have.
Attaining third degree <Mastery> may take many years, but the initiation
is essentially a recognition that the person has become a vessel of the
Divine. The ritual generally includes a ritual death, which may be simply a
change of name, or something more elaborate. The ritual death <surrender of
one's life, to Divine Will> breaks a lot of attachments, and generally
serves to clear most of the remaining Karmic issues, or at least to turn
them loose, and synchronous life events will bring them up to be resolved
within the year or so, following.
A Master is considered worthy to start their own Mystery School or Ashram
or Coven or type of Yoga, because they have become a clear vessel of Divine
Will and wisdom. They are free to use or discard what they have been
taught, as Spirit moves them. They are not bound by the rituals and dogma
that were the crutches of faith to get them to surrender themselves.
"Occult" Mystery Schools have their own explorations of polarity, and
duality. Generally they teach students the power of their own free will,
first, to get them past the cultural victim attitudes and into a healthy
self-confidence. Most students who would attend an "occult" Mystery
School are not necessarily seeking enlightenment. More likely they are
seeking power. However, Goddess always wins.. power is a carrot, that draws
them in, but they find surrender pretty quick when they get a taste of
power, and discover what goes around comes around. Then, they learn the
wisdom of surrendering the choices their free will would make, to Divine Will.
As I say, it is only the lessons of the lower chakras that can be
taught. Once an individual has healthy self confidence. awareness of the
power of thought and perception, and is grounded in the wisdom of
surrender, they are well prepared to have the K-fire itself carry them thru
the wordless mysteries of the higher knowledge.

Noticed how attached you are to your opinion of their worthlessness. LOL!!

This is an openly multi denominational list. Not everyone on the list is
a Zen Buddhist, we also have Christians and Witches and agnostics and every
kind of people, including those who dabble in the shamanic ways of
entheogens. The list guideline is "every path is perfect for the person who
is on it".. non-judgment is kind of a requirement for a multi
denominational list. Otherwise the result is Holy wars.
I try to speak to people in words and paradigms they can comprehend.
According to what is
in their path, as best I can "read" it with my intuition.
. Kundalini has often been compared to Schizophrenia, and the therapy for
Schizophrenics is to support them in their process, give their impulses and
delusions approval and validation so they remain in a positive state, and
not judge them or try to change their passing obsessions with aggressive
intervention. Their own unconscious knows what it is doing, better than a
hundred psychiatrists, and with gentle support the process completes itself
and an old damaged ego is gently traded for a shiny new whole one.
I think it is the same with K.
Kundalites are generally led to the list by synchronicity, and that same
synchronicity will always make sure they get whatever their process needs,
in the moment.
>> There is nothing spooky about mysticism. Kundalini
>> without realization is deviated and less than worthy.
And Realization without grace and compassion is a cold fish.
Example: I can appreciate Rajneesh's choice to own many Rolls Royce's as
a demonstration of his lack of interest in the material world, and on the
level of his thinking it is very beautiful. But I can also see it from the
eyes of every charity that is raising pennies to try to help their fellow
humans. On that level it just looks cold cold cold.
It just seems to me that some people who rush to get to the Nirvana of
realization in their head, forget that they also have a heart.
>But it's still kundalini, and it can/will take another direction later...
>One really can't expect everyone to attain any kind of realization during
>the initial period...
Exactly. The Kundalini knows what it is doing, but the ego wants reasons
to barter for it's surrender. The truth of the reasons are not important:
whatever you believe in, will work. The important thing is the surrender.
If the reasons and rituals will ease the process of surrender by dispelling
some fear, then they serve. If someone feels better for discovering they
are not the only one worrying about entities, then the list has served.

I dunno. I doubt it. Do a search on your own email address and find out.
:) I do that every few months, just to see how I am represented there, and
who is linking with my domain. The k-list archives don't come up.
The recent archives are on the website, and the edited archives are at
Onelist.com. Onelist has a search engine built into the site, but they
would have to search every email list individually.
Eventually the entire archives will be available on a website,
searchable, and if you like I can take your posts out. The posts will be
anonymized, anyhow so that nasty spammer web spiders cannot scoop the
addresses. <vvanioATnospamxx.xxx.xx>
We used to use <x-y-no archive> on the first line with the Excepc.com
server, but I don't think this server has that capacity. Use it anyhow, and
I'll know to take your post out when I get to assembling the permanent
archives.
Blessings..
PS to the list: I will be off-line all weekend..
