 1. Have you ever had a spiritual guru or teacher?
 12 replied yes 5 of these I would call non traditional (The division
between traditional and non-traditional was somewhat arbitrary on my part.)
   9 replied no

 2. How long have you been with him/her?
  Three people replied 6 mo. to a year, 3 people replied 3 years, 1 five
years, 1 seven years, 1 years, 1 a lifetime and 1 for centuries. Not
surprisingly, the traditional guru/student relationship seems to last longer
than the non traditional.
 
3. Did you receive Shaktipat?
 9 received Shaktipat, one replied probably and 2 no.
 
 4. Did your relationship come before, after, or during your K experiences?
 4 replied before, two after, two during, two replied all three, one
didn't remember, and one said the relationship increased the K experience
  
 4. Do you think the relationship come about by design or accident?
  15 replied by design, 1 replied by accident

 5. Was your relationship
a. Positive 7 votes
b. negative
c. both 3 votes
d. neither
One person replied he was unsure, and one replied positive but difficult
 
 I find it interesting that nearly half of us go it "alone," with only our
"inner guru" providing support. It's also interesting that most of the
people who have teachers have received shaktipat from them--perhaps
reinforcing the relationship.
