What you are seeing is the velvet black deep sentient void that is the womb
of creation..
Remember God said "Let there be light" but before the God of light there
was the womb of dark that birthed consciousness. The void that preceded
the big bang is what you are seeing, and physical reality springs from
that, as thoughts take shape into reality. Light as particles is the e=mc2
of matter, and the spaces between are the void of creation where it all
happens.
Time and space don't exist, the void is and has always been... It is the
reality behind reality, calling for you the child of light come and be
reborn there.. to be never born, but eternally unified the child in the
womb of creation, like the final image in "2001:A space Odyssey" which is a
metaphor of the evolution of consciousness. A cosmic fetus in a womb of the
starry void of space.
Like the last scene in Revelations, the Mother about to give birth, and
the dragon waiting.. that image is outside of time, eternally suspended..
the child is never born. You really have never been separate from God, it
was all a dream of Maya.
It is the crown chakra evolution. At the lower chakras, on the bottom of
the Tree of Life, good and evil are widely polarized.. like St.Paisley's
warnings.. :) When you are still working on the lower 6 chakras, there is
still the illusion of duality.. and the void is scary.
But when you get to the crown where unity manifests, you must give love
to the Dark to understand unconditional love is All that Is.. what we call
dark contains vibrations of light we cannot see with our limited vision..
infrared, ultraviolet, etc.. Just as we cannot see the Divine purpose in
all things. The more clear your Karma, the more beautiful the void appears.
If it is beckoning with it's beauty, then soon you will fall into it.
The lower chakras teach you to turn dark to light thru offering empathy
and love to alter perceptions, which alter reality.. but to get to the next
destination, thru the opening crown, you must give unconditional love to
the dark that makes polarity existence possible, in order to go beyond
duality altogether into unity... non-duality.
Like Stephanie says, ".we need something to push us beyond our comfortable
smallness." That is the purpose of the things we fear.
Only one who is without fear my pass under the flaming sword into Eden..
fear of evil is a no-go. Divine Will is All that Is, and we are
manifestations of that perfection, except for our judging it otherwise...
The shadows that give what is illuminated by the light, shape and
definition.. you are light and dark, the Tao..
In the path of becoming All that Is, you must also become one with the
Void. :)

You may recognise the grid pattern you are seeing in Australian
aboriginal art describing the shamanic animals of the dreamtime.. the place
before creation.
