Dear Tony,
Risen K will eventually clear out any imbalance or illness, it seems. This
has been the view I have helf through 7 years of very active K. I have had
CFS for 11 years. In my experience, K intensifies the symptoms of CFS. I
have also taken myself on "retreat", spending several months at one time
living in a cabin in a national forest, working very quietly and practicing
meditation. K became too active as a result, and the CFS symptoms more
pronounced. I do experience a gradual improvement in CFS symptoms
following each very difficult "clearing", or period of intense k activity.
But improvement is gradual and the disease is still intermittently present
after these many years.
As many on the list have pointed out, those of us with with k and CFS tend
to lead balanced lives in which we give careful attention to the relation
between the spiritual and the physical, in order to recover from this
disease and find wholeness. We balance professional lives with periods of
quiet and spiritual rejuvenation. We have lived with a disease which is
very poorly understood and invites very wrong assumptions from the
ignorant. Your initial post on this topic falls into that category, so
perhaps you can understand the vehemence with which it was answered.
