Maybe you should read translations of some of the old texts to get some more
insight in the gender of the Shakti, of which Kundalini is an aspect of.

Arthur Avalon's: The Serpent Power might be helpful there or a book called:
The Yoga of Light by Hans-Ulrich Rieker which is an english translation of
an old text called Hatha Yoga Pradipika. BTW, Shakti or Kundalini are not
terms I came up with, but you can find references about Her in many of the
old texts, have fun.
