Yes, in early adulthood I chose to listen to my cynical boyfriend
instead of
the inner voice, and it vanished altogether for a few years of "spiritual
winter".. awful! The winter lasted longer than the relationship.
When it finally started up again, it came in fits and starts, at first, and
it was years before it settled into the reliably available flow I have now.
It's like building a house. In the beginning there is a lot of big machinery
some days, other days nothing because it's raining, or winter, or the concrete
needs to harden, wood needs to be shipped... whatever. Later it seems like
there are many things going on at once, carpenters and electricians and
plumbers... but there is still quiet on weekends and holidays, time to rest.
Then there are finishing touches, paint and wallpaper make subtle changes and
not much noise.. Finally the house is complete, Goddess has moved in, and
there is only maintenance.. light housework to do every day.
K. moves in a sine wave like a biorhythm, that is often oriented around
peaks
of Earth energy, like full moons and solstices. If it is giving you a
vacation,
use the time wisely to rearrange your life a bit, so that you are better able
to surrender to it when it reappears. When, not If.
