Dear List,

I've got a question that I've been curious about for ages.

It's common knowledge that enlightenment and celibacy are often thought to go
together.

In my experience, while celibacy can help trigger K, once K is triggered,
celibacy is no longer relevant. (The snake is out of the bag, so to speak)
:))

I also feel that while celibacy might help cause K energy, that this is due
not to sexual repression (as the mystic saints were often accused of) so much
as to sexual expansion--the redirection of the life force.

Since celibacy can lead to mystic experiences, the ancient religious
communities seemed to jump to the false (in my opinion) conclusion that
mystic experience is God's reward, and that God prefers celibacy. Not
exactly logical, but understandable.

So....my questions are...

1. How many of us feel that our K awakening had anything to do with
celibacy. (celibacy being defined as having no sexual partner for an
extended length of time)

2. How many of us became intentionally celibate after K awakening.

3. For those who are sexually active, do you find that sexual activity
affects your K energy one way or another?

Any other thoughts on the subject?

All answers posted privately to me will remain strictly private.

I'm especially interested in the answer to the first question.
