I am a Reiki III and I will get the energy rushing up my spine when I
give a healing or an attunement. It may come from my crown chakra as well
but I feel it in my back. It used to build up in my head and cause
spaciness, heart beat in head, headache, bright lights...etc... I learned to
open my crown chakra and that seems to release it out and not in. That is
rather different from your statement. I also see the color of the energy
change but straight from my hands it is violet...which is close to light
