Hey, Col, I used to be really scared of TM since I
had read once that doctors adviced against doing
meditation that was unconnected with some sort of
religion, as ppl frequently had scary visions and
feelings of "possession" when in meditation and I
resolved never to have anything to do with it, just to
spare the sanity. Even as a martial arts student,
with a real Hong Kong Bruce Lee type teacher,
I actively worked against the meditation that was
taught since I had so many weird visions when sitting
down in it.
Visions and meditation are now part of the every day
schedule. What a stupid thing to be paranoid about,
huh ? ;)

:) My "good old friend" Sri Ramana Maharshi speaks a lot about surrender and what it entails. It*s really
interesting to read his thoughts about it.
I really recommend his books and teachings.
