This is eerily similar to an exp. I had several yrs ago, and described here
once before. Briefly, during a particularly traumatic time in my life, I
was lying in bed but not asleep, and received a "vision" of being surrounded
in a circle by 12 or so beings of light I call angels - they were
androgynous, tall, beautiful, clad in gold from head to, well I didn't see
their feet, even their skin was gold. Their backs were to me as they were
protecting me from vicious, snarling demon/beasts. They communicated exactly
as you stated - without words. One glanced over his/her shoulder at me and
smiled. They were wearing gold robes.
Perhaps these are your guardians,and the black symbolizes the reverence,
severity, even groundedness of the situation? Not sure, but I think I'm on
the right track. Many Blessings to you.
