Taking Karma from my students is not usually a problem, it's the time
travel brain surgery I did on myself at the beginning of this week that has
me taking a few days off from the net to process.. but I thought I'd
bravely offer my 2 cents worth on this thread which is of little
consequence to me, coz that's about all I'm up for, just now.. I've turned
turtle while an early split in my psyche mends.. I'll be back when my body
stops rippling and vibrating, and I remember how to sleep.

Well, I'm a 2nd degree Reiki Master, according to initiation but I don't
claim to know much about Reiki.. I will just tell of my experience..
About 2 1/2 years ago, I had a client who was referred to me by his
psychiatrist because she felt her client needed to relive a spanking from
his childhood in order to clear it, and obviously if she spanked him
herself she might lose her licence.. improper conduct and all that.
He was a Usui Reiki Master, and during the interview before the session
he complained about a heart chakra blockage that he and his students had
been trying to clear for months.. I got up spontaneously and put a hand of
either side of his chest and "zapped" it, the blockage was gone in about a
minute. He was impressed, so I cleared out some other stuff while I was at
it..
From this experience, I would say that if Reiki and K. were the same
energy, then he would not have needed K. to fix what Reiki couldn't.
A few months later he wanted another session, and offered to trade me a
1st degree Reiki initiation for my time.. so I did. I kind of think he got
the better part of the deal, but I let Goddess handle the nuances of
accounting..
I didn't feel much during the Reiki initiation.. a bit of energy
movement, but nothing remarkable.. During the session at one point he was
not there (he had no memory of this conversation, afterwards) and I was
chatting directly with his higher self.. so I asked it about Reiki, and was
pretty much told "anything you believe in, will work".. The rituals and
popularity of Reiki give folks faith, in their ability to share energy and
Goddess provides.
A few months later an online friend offered to initiate me 2nd degree, by
remote.. I told her sure go ahead, but to keep an eye out and pay attention
to my guides coz initiating me might be very different from initiating a
non-awakened person, and Goddess would repay her generosity with
information. So she did.. again, I really didn't feel a thing, didn't pay
much attention, but while doing my initiation she was given several brand
new, powerful Reiki sigils to use on me.. now she has her own brand of
Reiki. Who initiated who? I dunno.
Anyhow, that is my experience.. offered up for consideration. I don't
really want to enter this debate, coz I have been imaging the movement of
energy since I was a teenager, just for the fun of it bouncing energy balls
with a psychic friend off the back wall of the Art room... and when I do
energy work usually I dunno if it's prana or K. or Reiki or Mesmeric Force
Ectoplasm Mind control. I'll leave the arguments to the scholars.. I just
send love and Goddess decides what form it takes.
