ANGELIQUE: Thanx for your explanation of the context of your reference to
Hitler as an avatar. The term is used by Hindus to refer to an incarnation of
the Divine on earth. The strict construction would include only incarnations
of Vishnu (the most famous being Krishna, Rama and Buddha who many also
claim), altho most would also acknowledge Christ and Mohammed and perhaps a
few other non Hindus. As to whether this could ever be stretched to include
someone like Hitler, I guess, would depend on what one construes the term
"divine" to mean. Hindus wouldn't,and neither would I, but it's not really
important. Just wanted to know your context.... thank you jerry
