Because of the (slight) difference in the way they are said -- The first has
an 'and' which implies acceptance, that you are letting me *be*. The second
is a completely new sentence, which implies I am not where I *should* be... a
form of non-acceptance.
Apparently I am not understanding which message you are wanting to convey.
Would you clarify?
