Yeah. I see meditation as going into trance with the goal of getting better
connected / getting more in presence etc... with Something. To my mind we
live in some sort of trance most of the time. Perhaps it is the different
inductions to deepen the everyday trance (or lighten it :)) that cause
confusion. Some people use words (like reciting prayers) as an induction.
One can observe thoughts or dance or have sex or use some breathing
techniques or or or. And then comes the empty head (or it does not)...
Not being "enlightened" I dare to go on :). The experience filling the
empty head might be shaped more by the goal than by the induction method.
Yeah, empty heads from cool to hot? Your opinion?
