Hi -
I am still trying to catch up on all the list
reading ... and wanted to ask you a question,
Dharma ... Do you believe that planets impel?
I have always felt that astrology and planets
are more in line with the physics/philosophy
principal ... and excuse my inability to directly
quote ... but it's something like:
"For every action there is an equal or corresponding
reaction."
My first astrology teacher, Gloria Star, taught me
that planets and natal charts are like maps ...
YOU ARE and therefore, astrologically, you can be
maped. There is a point of arrival and a point of
departure ... and those astrolgical points and
how they "aspect" each other are something like
coming into life with tools (personal qualities) and
and whether those tools are compatible, work easily,
etc.
As we move forward in life with these tools, and
even with a good road map (natal chart and understanding)
we make lots of decisions about how we emphasize and
utilize parts of our personality (free will being
exercised). [Note: Even with a good road map and the latest
Am Auto Assoc assessment of road conditions ... we can't
be sure of WHAT we will encounter, HOW we will experience
it, or WHAT our response to the encounter will be.]
If a planet in our Universe moves, there is a gravitational
pull and there may be a reaction such as the tide of the
ocean going in or out. If we move ... is there no less
a movement?
It is hard in the scheme of things to be sure what
"impels" what ... it's like the chicken or the egg
exercise ...
Would it not be more accurate to say that there are
symbolic connections ... maybe even parallel actions
which are symbolic? Maybe a planetary movement is
a mirror of a persons movement? Maybe a planet
represents a life cycle ... it doesn't push us to
do anything ... but the point at which we, rather
a person, is set in motion ... with their individual
life tools and exerts their free will ... that
person has a mirror which can reflect a particular
life map and the tendencies to do certain things or
the propensity to encounter particular events ...
karma ... dharma ... destiny ... free will ...
What is your thought? I'm going to try to catch up
on the posts.
