Dear AZUURE, In response to your question about
finding a teacher I can only advise you based on my own experience. Before
even looking for one I would try to learn as much as possible through both
self observation and research from reading and from the internet where there
are so many websites with info about others' experiences. I had a dramatic
opening at the brow chakra nearly 7 years ago that didn't really give me any
problems for 6 months. Then I went to a teacher in order to get expert help in
moving the energy----shortly after that my problems began. I then went to a
swami who happens to be in your area (Portland) who I still believe to be both
powerful and a high being---but after a year with him my problems only became
much more severe. Most teachers specialize in helping people activate k---once
it is activated into a full-blown process I don't believe any of them can
control it. There are countless horror stories (like mine) of peoplewho have
gone to teachers with an active k process looking for help, only to be plunged
into despair. I don't mean to scare you but I can't over-emphasize the need
for caution. I also don't mean to sound overly negative about my process or
anyone else's because in spite of all of the pain I remain hopeful. But it's
important to know what you're getting into. best of luck,
