  Greetings everyone,

     At first I'd like to share how glad I am to see such supportive people
here. As a psychology grad student, with what I believe is Kundalini, all my
teachings up until this point had led me to the point to believe that I'm
hallucinating.. etc. (It's still difficult to sit through psychopathology
class while other students casually diagnose and wash their hands of the
matter.)

  The realization that I wasn't merely crazy was when the pictures and visions
of my mind were corroborated on websites on Tantra and books on Indian
spirituality. I kept calling what I saw over and
over , the "lightning double helix" (until I knew what it was, the
kundalini) .

   I do what I can and let this energy take me over at least once a day
(electroshock is exactly what its like), my hands go into what i now know are
mudras, and i shake and shake, but I am fearing that I'm probably pretty
misguided and need a teacher or some direction.

     I'm faced with so many options I'm asking for some help from the group as
to which practitioners would really be good for my situation.

 I would really like to find a high level teacher that would guide me on a
spiritual path, does anyone know of anyone reputable (a guru, etc, any
religion is ok) that deals with kundalini in Seattle?
 
  There are so many ads in newspapers, so many "healers" ive heard of
by word of mouth, and I guess I don't have the 1000's of dollars it would take
to explore them all. Does anyone have any established knowledge of a good
referral for Kundalini and possibly helping someone take this energy higher?

     Any guidance is appreciated..
