Thanks Tim for your Vivekananda posts. Maureen posted your note on the
kundalini list as well. Swami Vivekananda's large picture hung beautifully
framed in my grandfather's living room ever since I can remember.
Vivekananda's lectures on yoga (he speaks of Kundalini Shakti also) are
classic and he was instrumental in being the one of the first pioneers to
bridge the east and the west. I read Sri Ramakrishna's gospel as a youth.
What an inspirational book it was for me, although many people would
certainly consider Ramakrishna Paramhansa "strange" from the modern western
psychological perspective. From a spiritual perspective, he was authentic
and solid gold.
