Then we shouldn't protect ourselves? I haven't been raped, or beat up, but
I still don't trust many people.
Does that make me a "dark brother"? No, it makes me wise.
Your theories seem okay, but you seem to feel our "ego" is a mistake.
Usually people who believe this are so opposed to life, they feel we must
die to be "clean". Thus, groups like "Heaven's Gate" flourish.
I believe in having a good "ego" shield when living in this world. You
learn who to trust, and who will help make your life more enjoyable. If you
don't trust someone, there's probably a reason. It's called intuition.
This is probably why I haven't been raped or beaten. : )

Maybe on a personal level, your own "veil is disintegrating". I like my
life, and don't feel the need to destroy it.
But I know also that this is a stage in your own development, and hope you
come to the conclusion that your life is meant to be enjoyed. It has a
purpose, and that purpose is connected to other HUMANS.
Life is painful sometimes, that's what makes the good so much more enjoyable.
I do not believe in a religion of avoidance. Neither do I believe in a
religion that believes our human self is a mistake, that must be overcome.

They never were separated, in reality. World is still here, too.
Define what you mean by "coming closer"?

Should your attachment to your family lose its importance?
I personally know a family who lost a loved one to Heaven's Gate.
She left behind two infants and a husband, and if there is a God, she might
have served them more fully by taking care of her family. Isn't "God" in
those surrounding us? Isn't our love for others love for God?
Now, she's off flying around on an asteroid with the aliens. Oh Boy. God
save me from being that holy!

What about nature? Is that just one dark heaving blockage to the "will of God"?
Let's just blow it up and be finished with it. Why bother? Why don't we all
just swallow a couple vials of phenobarbital?

No, the biggest enemy of the "Warrior" is someone who wants to "kill his ego".
