Miri,

I believe that it is common that the k provides us with signs before our
awakening. The form and symbology that this might take probably varies with
the person, for me it seems that snakes were always somehow an issue. And
since I do not tend to remember dreams, these snakes were in stories or real
life. As a young lad while climbing Ben Lomond (north of Ogden, Utah) in
one spot it was quite steep and rocky and I was using my hands to help my
ascent - when I heard this rattle from a rattlesnake - and immediately
catapulted myself backwards down the incline - luckily my father behind me
on the climb caught me. Another time, much younger this time - at a camp
spot, I seemingly was upset by a water snake in the grass (at least that is
how the story goes)- a sister picked up this snake and threw it into the
water. And it seems at family gatherings snake stories were a common
event - these snake run-ins seemed to be significant in a way that was not
really expressed or acknowledged by anyone - just an undercurrent of
mystery - and more than yet another story - but then other family members
had bear stories too, while for me I still haven't run into a real bear.

So when my k awoke, I turned to my family, but alas they turned into
bears. But then maybe my deceased father did catch me and block my fall.
It seems as a youth I was always afraid of the snake energy - and then when
I finally couldn't escape the k snake - I felt and embraced the snake
presence even while still backing away from it. Perhaps I still have to
face that final rattler in the eyes and laugh at it's hiss.

I am not sure about the snake incidences of my youth, but they seem to
take on a different tone now, and I wonder if they were foretelling my
future. Or perhaps this symbol space that we occupy is more potent - are
symbols just indicators or do they serve as controls(activators)in addition?

It would seem to me that a dark (mysterious?) woman (goddess of kundalini?)
kissing your spine - would indicate a rather peaceful and pleasant
awakening - is this what happened?

Peace and balance
Llewellyn
