Hi Alan,

I just couldn't resist sticking my 2 cents in to this discussion. I
was thinking about this very same problem just yesterday. For so long
I have struggled with the voice of the ego, and I have obeyed it
because I wasn't sure if it was the voice of the higher self. I
figured, as long as it's not suggesting anything harmful, why not.

However, as Mystress Angelique Serpent suggests on the K-List, I have
noticed that I'm getting better at discerning a different vibration,
or higher vibration to the call of the higher-self. Also, I'm
noticing a quality of arbitraryness to the commands of the ego. Most
of its commands are just for the sake of showing who's boss (it is).
Don't do it this way; do it that way. It's almost like the voice of
an obsessive/compulsive. So, I'm flouting that voice, and just not
doin' it. Pretty soon, it just may shut up.
