The Blue Moon is quite a fasinating subject!
While it is true that a Blue Moon occurs only once in a Blue Moon, this in
itself gives it above and beyond the norm.
In astrology, the Moon represents feelings and emotions. We have our normal
ebb and tide of these feelings each month. When the Blue Moon occurs, your
thoughts, your feelings, your emotions are emphasized during the month, or the
coming month. AND when the Blue Moon falls within 3 degrees of one of your
astro planets, you can expect some interesting occurances in your emotions in
the area of the planet it falls on in the coming month. (ie. if it falls on
your Sun - power of Self; Moon - emotions & feelings; Mercury -
communications; Venus - love; Mars - energy; Jupiter - growth & good luck;
Saturn - lessons & discipline; Uranus - surprises & upsets, electricity;
Neptune - ideals & illusions; Pluto - transformation, inner child; Nodes -
past lives; (there is more to the planets than this... this is just the gist
of them)
What you will notice occuring, a wee bit prior to this Blue Moon, and
afterwards, is.... if your thoughts and emotions are in order, they will be
moreso. You may find a quietness in your mind you haven't seen in a while, or
in a Blue Moon. If they aren't in such good order, then the chaos may be
emphasized. No need to be alarmed. Just a red flag to let you know what is
needed in your life. Hence the reason it is called "Blue Moon" -- Blue for
sadness... OR (from an optimistic point of view), Blue for healing, if you
want to use it as a red flag.
Just as we go with the flow of the quietness, you can also go with the flow of
the chaos. Going with the flow is to stay in the moment. The moment is where
your peace is, no matter how chaotic your future or past may seem (which is
the cause of chaotic emotions). The moment literally creates your future,
disallowing the past or the illusionary future in the moment. Creating a
future as your present moment of peace.
If the Blue Moon does not fall on the degree of one of your natal planets, you
may not even notice it. It is at 11 deg Aquarius/Leo. If you don't have any
planets or nodes at 8 deg to 14 deg Aquarius or Leo, then it'll probably pass
you by as a sigh.
Well that's my take on it.
