Subject: [K-list] a yogi met a hotdog vendor....
From: Janpa Tsomo
On 1999/01/20 11:56, Janpa Tsomo posted thus to the K-list:
Said, "Make me one with everything"
yogi got his hot dog, vendor held out his hand for $$, yogi hands him a
20, and the vendor just says "thanks" (Tofu dogs btw)
Yogi: "Hey, what about my change!"
Vendor: "Change must come from within"
Yogi: Why you!! i oughtta.....(raises fist)
Vendor: Careful friend, someone might lose an i.
the last line of this tired joke is what seems to happen with awakening.
I's are lost.
Ever tried to write without using the word 'i'? Leads to 'just action'
sort of language. Just work, Just tired, just writing, that sort of
thing.
Its an interesting experience. Watch the mind as the i is not in front
of every first-person point of view sentence. There's a difference that
can be seen.
