Dear Freda,
I wrote to El concerning the similarities between kundalini symptoms and
aspartame's side effects.:

You better ... here it comes. ..:-)
And I better watch my words...Oh well, I can duck too.
No Freda, I don't want to treat this lightly.
My joke was with the link between Kundalini symptoms and aspartame.
I am very health conscious etc. etc.and am very aware of the issue. Have
been a K to grade 3 teacher long enough to see the links between diet
(additives), behaviour and health.
I'm just freewheeling a bit here so don't take what follows as directed
against you or other people. Just throwing it (?), not in anybody's
direction, so no need to duck.
My mother-in-law died of colon / intestinal cancer; no artificial
sweeteners in those days at least not in her life.
They (my in-laws) were farmer-gardeners, not totally organic, but as far as
food goes theywere pretty well self sufficient.) She was however very sweet
and caring to everybody, so much so that she took on her children's and
many other ppl's worries.
Did she die of that, we thought then that she did? (She died when she was
64, 30 yrs ago.)
What do we know? Is it not far more complex than attributing to aspartame
all (or many) of the ails of the world, (or was it tooth fillings, or the
kind of fluorescent lighting, or sick building syndrome, or fumes, or
smoking, or scottish broom...?
At some point any "external thing" can be blamed for pretty well anything
at all? I am not poo-pooing this. (Is that how one says it?) There are so
many factors, we are all-to-ready to look for a "simple culprit."
Just like a "cure of the day" we seem to have a " disease of the day" as well.
As snake oil can heal everything troublesome, it has also been proven that
snake oil is the cause of everything troublesome.
Anyway, I seemed to have freewheeled back to the snake full circle.
I'm now going to byte my own Kundalini tale.
Time for bed.
Oh no wait, what was that? Were we just taking death very seriously?
Your grandfather dead, my in laws dead? My own parents (85 an 81) still
alive but...about to...?
How was this again about death and deadness?
Death by definition does not exist.
Sure we know about earthly remains and skeletons, but deadness *the non
existence of existence* cannot exist can it?
How can non-existence exist? We are giving it substance aren't we? Some
power of illusion we have, don't we?
It is *some-kind-of-fear* that does it... giving illusive substance to
nothing.
By building that illusive wall we prevent ourselves (for security's sake)
from looking over it.
K. people should be the first to know. Many of us having been so close to
that moment of transition to a different state, sure it may have scared
the hell out of us, but...
"The hell out of us!", that is exactly what it means, "fear of hell and
damnation" were for a moment at least, not in us. But we let it back in
again slowly, weren't we just now rebuilding that wall.
But the wall must come down, and when it does we know it was the wall that
*we* built (not Jack).
Some of us can easily make transitions between states, the bodhisattvas
that we are or discover ourselves to be.
All the realms are inhabited with life... yes reality all over... where
love reigns or is so damnedly and illusively missed there is...reality.
Do not say that all that is illusion as well, only illusion is illusion.
You are not, are you?
If in whatever you just answered was the word I (however timidly), you just
proved your reality.
Wim
I'm now going to byte my own Kundalini tale.
Time for bed, really, another realm.
