Hi,
My view of karma is a bit different from what I've been reading on the list.
I'm not going to clutter up this post with a bunch of 'in my opion's'; they
are, however, implied:
We chose human life in order to gain experience in a very focused way. One
of these ways of focusing is through a construct called linear time.
There is truly only the Now, but as we send aspects of ourselves into this
experiment in focusing, each aspect enters the illusion of separation,
enters the illusion of time, enters the illusion of cause and effect.
All aspects of the self, therefore, exist in the present. There is
unconscious bleed through of information from these 'lives' in a dynamic
way. Our lives are affected by other aspects of our self and we, in turn,
affect other lives and probable lives. Deja vu, inspiration, irrational
fears, and the like result from this dynamic flow. This is what is
construed to be karma and is viewed as emerging from 'past' lives due to our
focus in the illusion of linear time.
As we grow spiritually, we come closer to the end of the experiment and
begin to recognize and merge with our "scattered" parts. This includes a
re-collection of "past lives" and they begin to surface into consciousness.
