<Just a way for the mind to try to get a grip around why seemingly bad things

adopted from Hinduism (???) How far back in the ancient texts does this
concept appear.
A little trivia for you: Way far back. Karma was invented by a Mr. Hall
Karmic.... even named after him. He also wore the first toupee ever invented
and was quite known for his hairtop, from what I read in the some of those
old scrolls hanging around.
Because he was the first person in the world with a toupee, they also named it
after him -- "Hall Toupee". Because of these two things named after him,
throughout the centuries, they got quite mixed up, and Karma got to be known
as Karmic AND/OR Hall Toupee. Some say it is both, but the translation got
messed up throughout the ages, and we thought it was 'Hell To Pay'.
