Mystress (and any others who worked on the move),
Hello here in our new home.
I just want to say thanks for going to the new server. I know it must
have been a lot of work but I certainly appreciate it.
I've been off the list since Hotmail "improved" their site. Since they
were bought by Microsoft they seem to have adopted the Microsoft policy
of improving a thing by making it not work, not work as well, and/or be
less user friendly than it was before. The new software on Hotmail says
there are 30k, 40k, or whatever amount of text in the message but no
contents appear when the digest is opened from the old server. (If I
forwarded it I could read the table of contents.) With this server I
read an entire digest, or any part of the digest, for the first time in
weeks.
Speaking of table of contents.... That is the one, and only, thing I
miss about the old list. Is there an option to put that on the digest in
this new list server's system? The way I read the digest was to always
look at an original post and categorize it. My categories are: Good and
interesting, Good but not about something that interests me very much,
What the heck is this about?, Not interesting, and Flames. I then use
the table of contents and follow the threads accordingly, always read
the first category and after that as my time allows and level of boredom
encourages. It saves time and I miss it.
With or without the table of contents thanks again for getting me back
on the "active list".
Namaste,
Joe
