Hello,
This is my first posting so here goes....... I was just reading the post from Pureheart which was a response to
Hudsons posting. What you said really struck a nerve.
"Cut yourself a break. Forgive yourself something. Worry a little less.
If you are fixated on something in particular, unfixate." My lifes history is very complex (just like everyones else's) Therefore I
have been carrying around a ton of "Baggage" such as, guilt, remorse, anger,etc.....
I just recently started learning about Kundalini and yoga.(about 1 month now)
I have been told (from sources on this mailing list) that I possibly could have experienced awakening. (possibly a long time ago)
It has really made me think about how I can deal with this situation. I want to do it right of course.
I was experiencing visions of dark eyes and voices during meditation and was told that it could possibly be "deamons" which of course
scarred me at first. Naturally I have been thinking about this for a few days now.
Last night it occured to me that I have to let go of all that "baggage" that I have been toting around with me for so
long. And what a coincidence, there was Pure Heart's posting this morning as I
read my email about surrendering and letting go. Thank-you so much for being here guys!!!!
YIPEEEEEE!!!!! I AM ALMOST FREEEEEEE!!!!! anna

hi,
this is janpa tsomo. ya i have two names. one is my dharma name, the other is my 'normal' name.
got me thinking about names. when i became a buddhist, and took vows, my
teacher renamed me from 'debora orf' to 'ja hae' or janpa tsomo in tibetan. (my first teacher is Korean-lineage). Why the name change?
why on earth he named me 'ocean of maitri' is beyond me, but there it is.
i think names vibrate tho. its possible 'ocean of love' vibrates higher than my karmically produced name that Mom gave me. I love mom tho :).
sometimes i think its a cosmic joke. sometimes i think its a profound
event. which leads me to think its really neither. hwo can you name the absolute?
i think in some ways 'Wierd crazy person' is just as auspcious as 'maitri
ocean-lady', but our names do define who we are in relation to each other. Why else is Angelique called- Mystress or the aura-reading nice lady
Cosmic energy? Or me called Janpa? Or harsha called harsha? etc...

I agree with what Kevin is saying now. From a psychological point ego is
our protection, our sense of self as we are growing up. It helps provides us with defense mechanism's and strength, without which we would probably
not make it out of childhood and into adulthood. But as we grow up, there should be an adjustment of where the ego is placed in our priorities...It
does need to be tamed. I always think of mine as a child whose head I stroke when I tell it to calm down and not take credit for everything. We
should not need it so much as we grow up...and pretty soon we may not need it all. Mostly I think that there is a misunderstanding of what the ego is.
There is a tendency for people to put any sense of "self" under the label of ego. This is not where the self is. If you stop thinking, reacting ,
protecting.......do YOU disappear? If you don't have an ego......do you stop thinking? Nope to both questions.....The ego and mind are not the
SELF. Love, Julie Date: Tue, 25 Aug 1998 09:42:25 PDT

Namaste -
Well, I am new to the list. I am a male in my mid 30's, spiritual, vegetarian of asian indian origin from the Greater Boston, MA area.
In the process of searching for sexual healing, for my premature ejaculation problem, I ended up being here. Though I have read some
literature about Sacred sex, tantra etc. and very much interested in pursuing this path to control my sexual energies, I am new to Kundalini
methods. I am looking for spiritual healing methods Eastern (Such as Tantra or Kundalini Yoga to heal premature ejaculation problem.
I would like to know if anybody here can help me with
sexual healing. I am looking for info or help to devlop control on my ejaculation. Help me to focus on the partners need rather than
mine would be good and to control my desires and energies.
Seeking information on Kundalini Yoga/Tantra practitioners (teachers) in
Boston/Cambridge, MA. I am also interested in meeting and knowing people who have gone thru this or are in the same path as myself.
Basically I am suffering
thru PE (premature ejacualtion) syndrome. Though I can stay for few minutes inside , I am in a very excited stage, dreaming of all
kinds of fantasies, often ending up ejaculating well before my partner is even excited. I do enjoy giving oral worship to women and I have been
able to get them orgasms with my tongue. That's the only thing which I have been able to enjoy and keeps my sex
life going and slowly learning to focus on partners need. I am wondering whether being UNCIRCUMSIZED has anything to do with it.
Any help pointers contacts would be appreciated and I hope to learn
a lot from this group and may have many more questions in future.

Hello,
1) Don't fantasize, just be present with your partner.
2) There is a good book by Mantak Chia, "Cultivating Male Sexual Energy".
If you press on the perineum just before and during orgasm, the semen will remain in the body (some goes into the bladder). After doing this a
while, you will become used to being at a greater sexual tension all the time. It will be easy to have sex for an hour or longer. Another way is
to pull up and inward on the anal muscles which flexes the muscles around the prostate and helps it to empty into the blood steam. Do this about 9
or 10 quick pulls right before sex or if too aroused.(this produces a k chill for most people). This is a higher form than the first mentioned.
Blessings,
Geoffrey

Dear list members, I am new to the list. I am 39 years old, an artist and college professor, and
I have had kundalini activity for 6 years. I had been practicing Transcendenta l Meditation 18 years when it began. I have been reading the postings here
for a couple of weeks, and am surprised to find so many others going through the same process--I wish I had access to something like this in the first
years, when the process was so rough. There are a number of questions I would like to bring up to the list members, but I will start with just one.
A lot of you seem to be talking about August being a particularly difficult time. I have found the kundalini activity to be more intense and chaotic in
the summer--do others have this experience? If so, does anyone know why? I would appreciate any response. Thanks,

I agree that names can be a funny thing. At birth I was named Katharine but
only because it was the only way that the government would accept my name. My mother wanted to call me Kathy. I grew up to the name Kathy but always
preferred to be called Katharine. It was only a few months ago that I found out that my birth name was not a name my mother would of picked. To me when
someone calls me Katharine there seems to be a tone to it that is pleasant and it seems right for me.
I have also wondered why we need a new name when we become involved with a
temple or with a spiritual group that feels a new name is important. Can anyone explain this too me? I have nothing to hide so I figure my name as
it is , is all that I need to continue to become enlightened.
As far as your comments about a name for "God" there will never be a true name for this in human tongue. The name is too complicated for our
understanding according to a book that I read. Not sure what I think of that either but I figured I would pass on what I have read.

Yes I am being councilled in this way. I am feeling more confused by the day. I am being told that thoughts are things and that we need to detach
from them, and that feelings are things that we have to detach from as well. That to attach to feelings or thoughts one stops oneself from being able to
continue on their path.

The information you give me on this thought is helping. I will be saving it
and rereading it a few times until I am sure that the words you have expressed to me sink into my abiliity for understanding them. My mind is
still somewhat confused at this point. I guess this is pinpointing where some of my struggle is at this time. I do understand the need to detach
from materail objects this is not a problem for me but to view a feeling as a object that is materail is beyond anything that I can understand right
now. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me.

The removal of my eyes .......would be the removal of my sight. I reflected on this and realized that it was not my eye sight that I felt the need to
remove but the sight that one gets when the third eye opens! It would not prevent me from doing anything but instead put me into position of having
more responsibility to others. It would protect me from lies as I would be able to see the colour of the person's thought but then who would protect me
as I became aware of how much deciet is around me? The truth is not always pleasant even though we all claim that is what we want. I agree with you
about dreams being a gift. In the past 2 nights I have had dreams that have given me important messages as I am becoming able to remember what it is
that is being told to me while I am sleeping. I'll have to think more on the removal of other body parts. Perhaps it will match up with my different
Chakras? Thanks you have given me a lot to think about and possibily a missing key!

How is "ocean of love" in any spiritual way higher than something like
Richard of Amanda or Steven or Debora? It is more romantic but that's all.

It's a pretty picture. I have wondered similar things myself. I have
experienced `planted thoughts' before, thoughts that are timed perfectly to cause a certain perception to happen, so that there can
be a learning.

No. You transmit it at the time that you transmit it. It doesn't get delay like emails do. It doesn't travel down the telephone wires
m'dear. :)
I have been into the paranormal in the past so I see this as a bit deceptive.
> I'd like to ask others their opinions about thoughts and feelings. Do
> you think we create what we think about? Or do you think that we think > about that which is already created?
I always ask people about their thoughts and feelings, always have
done and probably always will. "How are you", "are you okay", "how do you feel", "are you well", etc. Been trying to snap out of it to make
things more interesting but it's too hard.
It all just happens actually. Personally there are many sort of levels, but they are not divided from each other. It's just a
generalisation to think of it that way. You are a movement and when there is a blockage in the movement you have what you refer to as
thoughts `at a distance', a perception of there being something other than yourself, which is a form of seeing but is actually blindness.
The thoughts still happen it just appears that they happen with more control and stuff because of the barriers. When the barriers aren't
there I find that there is still thought processes but they aren't tangible, they aren't seperated from myself, and `I' am not there
anymore either. Just sort of happens on its own. That is its anonymous nature. But that does not mean it comes from some `other' tangible
source.
Blimey, tangible is my word of the day today I must have written it 20 times in todays emails.
