meditational practise, in general (lets drop the whole diety question for
a moment), lessons the ego and increases the awareness of the connectness
of life.
this connection is often at the level of the heart chakra. literally, one
can feel another's sorrow or joy. normally that helps to soften one's mind
and tame the selfish impulses.
life as a teaching can be merely seeing everything as an oppurtunity to
learn. you are here right now. what better place to start? there is your
friend in front of you. they are synonymous(Sp?) with your
teacher/spritual preceptor.

Shakti Om! I was thunder struck. I did not know what happened but as if
something reawakened and took a hold of me forever. After that whenever I went
to the meditation center I practically begged them to sing that song. Most of
the time the singers took pity on me, smiled and obliged and I was so grateful
beyond measure. Who can say how it happened, but the Lord of Life, who is the
Lord of the Heart showed his Grace and I fell in love forever. And to
paraphrase Frans delightful words, I was sentenced to a life time of writing
love poetry to the Goddess, to the Heart, and to Love It Self.

Agreed. :) But that's not questioned here. Actually, Tea was reading this
"exchange" with Gloria here and wrote me a message about it (hi sweetheart!
:* :) - and it was mostly a wide smile. :) There is such a great difference
between genuine spirituality and quasi-spiritual pose; the difference is
that the spirituality isn't spiritual, it just is. The pose must have
attributes, it must be something, in order to be recognized. Spirit just
flows, it doesn't care for appearance, because there is no other, noone to
impress, just live, just exist, I Am.

This comment just reminded me of something that I wanted to share.
We have a little dog who is not allowed on the bed. We NEVER find her on
the bed. Never. It's against all the rules.
But sometimes we find a little dog-shaped indentation on the pillow. And
sometimes we find a wet squeaky toy or a bone in the bed.
She just doesn't understand evidence.

I dabble. Reading now is mostly K related. But I have always been
interested
in odd phenomena i.e. ufo's (now more skeptical), crop circles, etc.
Philosphical training is virtually nil, alas. Read alot of LSD related
stuff
in the 60's Alan Watts, Krishnamurti, Leary, etc.

The answer: I'm trying to establish a working frame of reference for
interacting with this group. My experience so far has been so
multi-layered and so multi-dimensional that it defies the groundedness
I'm normally accustomed to. This is in fact not unfortunate because
several quasi-synchronous events are occuring within me through the
course of this experience that are highly beneficial - not the least of
which is the activation of several layers of consciousness to form a
single instance of simultaneous awareness in several dimensions - a very
promising development in the exploration for credible evidence of
expanded human functioning. But, to make sure that I can weave a useful
fabric of this for myself and others, I need to be able to distinguish
metaphor from delineation and mastery from experiment. In short, I'm
doing a self-test and your input in the process helps me center myself
informationally in Time and Space.
Ring again if I can answer you more concretely or along other lines.

I am looking for anybody who has experienced seizure episodes whose
precursor is early childhood sexual abuse. My partner has an energy
system that a Kirlian photograph would evidence as active or to wit,
partially awakened. I am under the impression that her Tantric
practices have accelerated additional releases which, on occasion,
result in unbearable flashback events. The lucidity of the memory
recalls in psycho-kinetic (synesthetic), emotional and mental channels
alike are akin to waking dreams so vivid as to be nearly
indistinguishable from "ordinary" perceptions. Clearly, during these
episodes, she is in a hell realm simultaneously immersed in the human
realm.
Does anybody know from personal experience whether or not this is
Kundalini related or if there are efficacious therapies to transform
Lower Astral experiences into viable healings?
Theory: Early childhood sexual abuse by adults extensively (perhaps
permanently) damages the first two primary energy centers in the etheric
& astral bodies (muladhara, svadisthana). Later, in adult life, coping
with everyday life becomes almost impossible, rendering the individual

Bob's idea about a meditation sounds wonderful, it would be interesting
to see what we would experience in doing this. I have always just put it
in God's hands, whatever was suppose to happen with it, is what happens.
So, I just go with it, and I have used the books as tools to work with
for the people who spirit brings to me.
Our group meditates together on Thursday night at 7:15pm for about an
hour. That time would work or we can pick another doesn't make any
difference, let's just throw it out there and see what comes to
everyone.

Hello....My name is Dave. I am 40 years old.
I have known that I was a "healer" since I was 11 and practiced healing
in a Spiritual Church at the age of 20. I am a NSAC certified
healer...if that means anything...I became aware of kundalini through
searching for answers to healing and how it works and why me.
I left that path for 17 years and persued a career in
electronics/physics/computers and was very successful....but it wasn't
fulfilling. So at the age of 35, after climbing the corporate ladder to
the VP level...I left the industry to become a full time massage
therapist. I now have been a massage therapist for nine years and have
my own business.
I cannot explain totally why that happened only that I made the change
but was not in control of the change. I am now happier than I have ever
been....also poorer than I have ever been...yet have everything I ever
wanted!
I have been through a transformation! I do meditate...but I do not
follow an orthodox ritual...more so, I live in a meditative state. What
I am hoping to get from subscribing to this list is:
1 To find others who are on a similiar journey...
2 To share ideas and concepts towards understanding myself, others,
and the universe
3 To help others when I can...
4 I am a mentor in need of a mentor!!
