My take on archetypes:
The more I study the archetypes of the tarot---as well as other archetypal systems---the more I am convinced that archetypes are living energy.
Archetypes are manmade. They are created by us, collectively and dynamically. It is one of the ways we co-create with God. We reach inside ourselves and project these energies into symbolic beings which becomes super thought-forms---and like all thought-forms these archetypes take on a consciousness and a power directly related to the focus we give them. The old 'where thought goes, energy flows' idea.
We do this individually as well. We create archetypal beings from the pure energy of ourselves and these beings may or may not be benevolent. In this way, people create personal demons and guardians as well as collective demons and guardians.
When humankind withdraws its attention from an archetype, then the archetype loses energy and so loses the ability to affect us collectively. An example of this is the archetype of Zeus---enormously powerful at one time, but today he inhabits the retirement home of the gods. :-)
When we look at modern day archetypes, we find that we have created entities which we small humans can get a handle on. These entities embody concepts that we cannot, in our present state, grasp in any other way.
Here are a few from a list guaranteed to push buttons:
The Aryan
Jesus Allah
God Christ
Gaia Goddess
The 'grays' represent an archetype which is being created dynamically while we watch. The 'gray' archetype is growing among a segment of the world's population because of a desire for a "god from the machine" to come and rescue us from the messy sandpile we find ourselves in. The more energy focused into this archetype, the stronger it becomes---and this strength is very real. The 'gray' archetype, like all archetypes, seems to embody not only the hope of rescue, but the fear of annihilation. This fear is part and parcel of the hope of 'rescue'; the old ways must die, the old society must die so that we collectively may live and thrive.
It seems to me that since we have the propensity to create archetypes so freely and continuously, it might behoove us to try to bring this process into consciousness rather than to continually leave the process to our unconscious and allow ourselves to be battered willy nilly by our own energies as they embody our hopes and dreams and fears. In other words, maybe it's time to start paying attention to what it is we do.

This might explain the horned men in mythology - i.e., Kernunnos, the
horned god of the Celts. There are legends that Alexander the Great and Moses had horns. And I believe one of Michelangelo's statues (David?)
shows little horns. (Might be da Vinci - for some reason I tend to confuse them.)
Maybe that indicates that this is a normal development, at least for some
people. But I don't know that - just speculating.
Do you make sure the crown chakra is open to higher centers so that excess energy can go out that way? You can do it with visualization. I used to
hear a tone, then in my head I would sound the tone up an octave and another octave and another, etc. Then I thought of the sound of an
orchestra tuning up - all the instruments play the same note - A - but in various octaves. So now I just think of an orchestra and get that sound of
tuning up and run it up a few octaves. Shakti says that works fine and I don't have to concern myself with it further.
But if you feel too much pressure in the head during meditation, you can
always visualize some of the energy moving out the crown chakra and on up to a higher center. You don't have to worry about not having enough - when
you do that, more will come from below. Just maintain the flow.
My only other suggestion would be to ask your guide or ask Shakti about it.

being so wonderful in a thousand ways. I may rejoin later under a new address. I have made a lot of friends here. I have restructured my whole
Kundalini experience in some ways through this list. There are things written here which cannot be found in a library.. the valuable living
experiences of conscious and whole beings. Thank you. My work demands 60+ hours a week of my life. From that I need to find time
to rest, meditate, and exercise. Spending 2 hours a day on the internet will not fit with this agenda. I also feel a strong need to go within
more.. to find out what is changing within me. I think 1998 is a very important year for me, and I need to be vigilant about those changes.
It is with regret I cannot have it all, but I live by my heart/guru and must do as it bids.
About the sleep deprivation. I have just been reading Rudolph Steiner on
the Egyptian civlization and he says that in Atlantis their night was like our day and our night ws like their day. So they were in a misty foggy
atmosphere during the day time, and at night they came alive to dance and sing with the angelic realm and the gods etc. which they saw clearly and
as real. They knew these Gods as REAL. When I had strong K. experiences in 1980, I remember clearly visiting Gods and great beings while my body
slept on the bed.. but my consciousness was alert and tuned to archetypical dramas. Aparently it was after the fall of Atlantis that the
day time became more visible and clear and the night became the fog. These parallels and opposites are just some of the fascinating aspects of

Hi,
Now for the middle of the road approach. ADD people frequently self
medicate with caffeine, pot and sugar. Understandable, though it must be viewed not as the cure but rather as a way station on the way to the
cure. St. Johns Wort or Prozac for that matter are the same. They are not the cure for depression, they are only temporary helpmates, meant to
give you the rest break to gather your strength to move forward on a difficult uphill battle. To quote N. Scott Peck "Life is difficult".
Period. To lay guilt on yourself for smoking pot is counterproductive. To use pot to avoid difficult and painful feelings is procrastinating at
least and potentially deadly at worst. If you are working out you problems and anger then use the pot to assist you and don't feel guilty.
If you are using the pot to avoid your problems it isn't going to work and you might as well face that sooner rather than later.
I think society and Americans in particular want the quick fix. And the
quick fix no more exists than the easter bunny or the happily ever after fairy tale ending.

Synchronicity seems to have been a definite part of the kundalini experience
as most of us have reported it. Although it's what I find the most entertaining aspect, I think it unwise to "look" for any answers this way.
There is an Australian movie, I believe called "Angel Baby," about two people who look to TV shows for answers, the way some of us have recently been
listening to the ringing in our ears, or the way a seer would look at entrails. It's important not to let our imaginations totally take over our
reality (at least yet).
But if you do want to get a message from the media, go and see the Martin Scorcese movie, "Kundun," about the 14th Dalai Lama. Not only does it convey
lovely lessons in a visually spectacular way, but hearing the Tibetan chanting and horns through a modern THX sound system in a theater will trigger a 2 hour
buzz of kundalini vibrations for sure.

It seems you've misunderstood me. I don't "look" for my answers thru
the TV. When I am working on something, and I "happen" to turn on the TV, I have found very often my situation is being played out before me.
This is by randomly switching channels, and it's as if I am seeing myself thru the character. I have been able to see my lesson thru the
movie.
I do not look for my answers thru others; answers come from within.

Greetings Everyone, i've been lurking here for a while.
this post is interesting to me because a similar thing began happening to me just since this last september. i received reiki attunements and
immediately began feeling as though someone were pressing their fingers on my temples. sometime the pressure was light sometimes strong. even or
uneven. this would happen 20 or 30 times a day for just a few seconds. at first i would get up and check my blood pressure, but nothing. then i
realized it must be from my attunements and was chi or kundalini. i was a bit freaked at first so decided to go within and ask. the answer i got
surprised me and was very clear and specific. my brain was being balanced (i.e. both halves) and i was being cleared for clarity of sight
and thought. (something i had been praying for). since this the fear has gone and i welcome the pressure. then just a couple of weeks ago i began
to feel a slight vibration or buzzing up inside the perineal body. again a few seconds and then stop. this freaked me
too because this time i new it must be kundalini and i've heard so may stories of pain etc. perhaps i'll need to do another meditation on this

God is in all of us. Atleast that is my thought---surely something mu st have created the universe(stars, moons, planets, and galaxies). I don't know
how, but there is no other explanation to how it was all formed. Everything you can think of always leads back to 1. 1 God that is. I don't know how he
came into existense, but it is the only answer. YOU CAN NOT BE A GOD.you can not be everywhere and see everything at one
time. You do not know everything and you are not perfect(no matter how many times youu try to be).
I have on ly adopted some ways from this so-called "New Age," such as listening to easy listening stuff, meditating(praying), and breathing
deeply, but it is all for God and to God. I partially agree with some of what Don speaks.
