My kundalini experience started during a vipassana meditation retreat in about 1987 (although I didn't know what it was til about three years later when I read Sanella's excellent book 'The kundalini experience').
Since then I have coped with bouts of ecstasy, pain, lights, vibrations,
heat, clairvoyance, depression, etc, etc. I still am not functioning very well (I am on the Australian Disability Pension), but get by OK.
I am optimistic about getting through this, but after 10 years of "weird
stuff", sometimes I get impatient. Following advice by Rudolph Steiner,
Sanella (I hope I haven't misspelt his name), Muktananda; and keeping grounded, acupuncture and chiropracty have all helped. But If anyone can
give some more practical advice, I would be appreciative.
My sympathy to all fellow "sufferers" of this process.

I agree with what you say here.. in my own experience that fits very well
with a spiritual impulse.. a form of worship of something that is higher.
There is great joy in surrender.. as a woman this is a part of ones' life
experience I feel in being a wife and a mother.
What is puzzling to me however, in my own experience of someone who asked
to be my slave, is that this person in his normal daily experience has
almost NO respect for women.. yet can suddenly become an abject slave
grovelling on the ground begging to kiss my feet. How can one take such
behavior as spiritual? I am sure guru's know this fake worship very well.
But to me this person's behavior seems to be an entire control device of a
DOMINATING person who does not come from true surrender that I know and
understand as a woman.
That is my experience of this ONE slave... (and I hope the last one) :(
In my more elevated experiences of worship and being worshipped...this
element of respect - deep core respect was always the foundation of the
experience.. .and the "milk" of the experience of surrender can only come
through this deep core respect.
So you may want to make them seem noble, beautiful and spiritual, but it
is not my experience that it is from such a hallowed space as you say...it
seems-- although it could be a lower level on the spiral than I experience
perhaps. To me it just seemed to be a more decorative and disguised method
of the old lust and "sex and power" game.
It seems more an underlying INTENTION that is not about surrender.. it is
about "You play this game for me the way I want it played...." In this
case there was no deep and true honor and worship of the feminine
PRINCIPAL - but there was lust and desire for debasement couched in these
words of worship that had a
sexual overtone rather than a spiritual one IMHO.
I have experienced quite different kinds of worship where the REAL
feminine Principal was understood (only with non westerners in fact). This
type of worship is beyond the limitations of form.. transcends the
sexual excitement and transports one to realm where the last interest one
has is in the baser elements of domination, sex and control.
It could be Mystress, that I have had a bad experience with a
novice slave... **&% who knows.. he is the first and hopefully the last!ATnospam
I hope that your slaves have pure intentions as you seem to have high
opinions of them and I trust they deserve it.

Are you speaking about your own experience? I think the difficulty has to
do with the level of sincerity and how deeply felt it is. It is harder to
surrender to some things than others but I would not say it is harder to
surrender to others; I would say it is much easier unless one allows that
the "other" is actually within oneself and one is scrupulously vigilant of
ones self deception.

Been there.. done that! It is a stage of spiritual life I believe.
Indian religious storiessuch as The Bhagvad Gita, and the stories of Rama
are replete with great models of surrender.

I think for me I am less about judging than trying to understand. I have
to get it from within myself. If I have not known this experience before,
then I seek to find out. I happen to think very highly of this "slave" and
do not feel he is beneath me in any way for I see the shining light of
Angels and starlight in his heart and being. How can I accept him crawling
on his feet to me who are of the same substance and entirely equal?
This is what I cannot understand Mystres.. You continue to accuse me of
judgment, but you are judging me AGAIN.. on this. N'est ce pas?
I am not like the people who keep your
slaves in the "closet". I am one of the ones pulling apart the closet
curtains to look in side and to bring the light of compassion and
knowledge. I am sure many others would like to understand.
I hve ready quite a bit of Stanislav Grof's work and he has very clear
explanations for why people have sexual deviations according to birth
trauma. I think it is wonderful to find that a person has a certain kind
of sexual deviance because of some imprinting that took place at that very
tender moment of birth. What forgiveness comes with this understanding..
just like the book "Brain Sex" affected you and I.. Knowledge is power..
is compassion is forgiveness. Isn't it?

I hope my suggestion on changing labels didn't have anything to do
with this terrible idea. I just thought that Kundalini denotes yoga
and yoga to a lot of people means New Age which in turn begets a
credibility gap with quite a few. I thought a new label would help
draw new interest, especially to those going through awakening alone
and not knowing where to turn.

Now this brings up another question: How can one know whether
his/her Kundalini is genuine or a delusion? We all know what hypnosis
can do, andwe all know that a lot of people these days are
self-deluded about a lotof things. Is there any objective way to know
who's deluded when it comes to our favorite subject?
I for one, would like to take a confidential poll as to how many of us
are on any kind of medications, especially anti-depressants or
painkillers. I think not many.

kundalini awakening is real...not a delusion...and my spirituality is

When I read the comment about K religion I had a good chuckle. I knew you
meant it as a joke, but some of the K folks thought it was a serious
matter. Perhaps a Ha Ha after some humor would help clarify it.
BTW, your book "Kundalini For The New Age" was the second book I read when
I discovered what was happening to me. The first was White's "Kundalini
Evolution and Enlightenment" which explained everything I had felt, I then
went to read yours, finding further information that helped me a great
deal. Thanks.

Could it not be the white pure and brightning light from where all the
others colors come from? ...Like when the light goes through a prism and
decompose into colors. If you reverse the process, going from colors
through the prism, what do you find? :-)
I think everything is made of Light; the original Light that came from
God and that is God too, that some have called the Verb. Some of us
here are able to see parts of It; anyway everybody is able to see the
colors after the Light have come through the prism with eyes. And yet,
for all of the people seeing chakras, human bodies are like a prism.
Human bodies receives Light (prana) and through chakras (which acts as
filters) decompose into colors. Some of these filters (chakras) are
made to filter Light to give a specific color (and equivalent type of
energy) to the physical receiptor.
So, by seeing something in a specific color, we can say the original Light
have been filtered to give a specific color and a specific power in that
receptacle. Think at the specific colors and powers of each stone. Stones,
like everything else.
