Goddess gives you what you need.. the violet flame of Saint Germain..
crown chakra stuff.. it is a purifying force, use it against the
negativity. Surround yourself and others with it, to transmute the negative
energy.
Blessings, Mystress.

Subject: Is this Kundalini
Hello David !
I got a copy of your e-mail to the post dated Sep23/97 Tuesday, through
MrNamaste.
I would share my thoughts and feelings on the questions raised in your
posting.
Your April 30th incident you got a jolt from your true self, not your
personality so that you may look inwards a little a bit more. This
involves relaxing, physically and mentally and keeping your inner eye
and ears open.
This is the action of the Kundalini no doubt.
Although you do not remember your insights, it may slowly trickle down
to you in some other way, even through contemplation.
1.Your being drawn to Yoga : Is it persistently drawing you or it was
fleeting attraction? This question you need to answer within you.
I have found when our emotions and ego come in the way then the force
becomes centripetal instead of centrifugal. But the real crux in this
human experience, I feel is to maintain a balance between the two.
I am in no way negating the emotions nor the ego. These are the
instruments which allow us to open up, face the tests and wisdom flows
in.
In this regard I would like to relate a factual episode which happened
to a Tantrik Yogi in a village in Bengal, India some 75 years ago.
This Yogi left his home and kindred to seek the truth through Tantra, and
his Guru came to him instead of him seeking the Guru. Well, to keep it
concise, when after 40 years of his yogi life, his mother passed away.
he was the eldest son. His younger brother sent him message to come back
home for the funeral/cremation. Upon his arrival at home although he
was a great Yogi, his emotions were at flood levels. He broke down, held
his mother's lifeless body hugging it and cried like a baby. His ego
also came to the picture, for he had extraorinary powers of healing and
giving back life to the dead. Momentarily his eyes grew bigger in rage
and he conversed with the Divine Mother. People around heard what he
said but they did not see the Divine Mother nor hear her reply.
What he said to the Divine Mother at the time was:" How dare you not
give me prior notice and audaciously take up mothers soul from her
body?"
A man approached him at the time and reminded him that he was a
renunciate Yogi, how come he is spilling tears over his mother's passing
away. He heard this and exclaimed in a sentence:"Just because I have
been a renunciate Yogi, does it mean I give up feelings and emotions?
The Mother who gave me birth, carried me in her womb for nine months,
and so lovingly brought me up and supported me in my search for truth of
this life and beyond should not be cried for thus, and has the wisdom I
gained through the grace of the Divine Mother, made me so cold, so
unfeeling, that I would become a lump of stone. I think not dear friend.
Now I know why my mother cannot be given back life again."
So in times of such jolts for awakening we need to observe our feelings,
thoughts, and action therefrom to differentiate between the real and the
unreal and get the lead from within.
2.Your meditation efforts , even twice a day is good. What I feel of
significance here, is the quality of the meditation is more important
than the duration of it. Some days you may not be upto siting for
meditation. So be it. No guilt should be carried along. Even a small
prayer intense with feeling and understanding becomes the equivalent of
an hour of meditation. Be a witness to your body, emotions, thoughts but
act through discernment. I am sure you will receive a spurt of more
insights in the coming weeks, quite probably after October 12th.
3,4,5,&6 : If you choose to take the feelings que to give up addictions
then these are very helpful for preparing the body for more openings, as
the toxins need to be taken out the system. This is specific in your
case. You may well observe these and also observe how your thinking,
feeling and actions appear to your inner understanding. Be a witness
to yourself. More illuminative insights on the way to you.
7. For your pain in the hip: I have heard that 55% of the North
Americans, this includes Canada are some how prone to Back Aches.
Have you checked with your doctor or surgeon? There are many physical
things in our body which also need to be taken care of physically.
If no plausible cause be found in the physical, then check you emotional
status yourself as if your emotions are the patient and your are the
doctor. Try it out and let me know.
Many a time pains surface in the hips due to some emotions beings
forcibly suppressed by the mind. Analysis of this is in order.
8. Emotions in an uproar: Let the flood gates open this otherwise it may
damage other things on the way through the dam of our conditionings and
personality conditions.
9. I understand your feelings here. From the Yogic perspective this kind
of feeling is looked at from couple of of standpoints.
a.) Tibra Vairagya= Very Intense emotion, mental determination, and
followed with action. Here you need to check out all aspectsand find out
which is the best way to go. Many people can run at very speeds, and
these soon tire out. But the slow and the steady is granted more stamina
of purpose. Choice is yours to make. If the guidance comes from within
after prolonged consideration of all aspects, then you would not have
any choice but to listen to it. Again I must say Feel, Discern, pros and
cons considered, and then if it persists then someone within you will
let you know. These things don't usually happen overnight, sometimes
these proceed on a very slow speed and each time you will find test to
go through.
As Rossevelt said: It is Fear itself we must Fear.
Kundalini works in mysterious ways for each person. It does make changes
in the body, connects a lot of channels or nerves between the left and
right hemispheres of the brain and give us the power to make some
changes for advancement in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual
plane sof our human existence.
b) The second one is Markat Vairagya= The renunciation of the monkey.
The monkey obeserves and keeps away just to know when no one is aorund,
to come an steal from the fruit basket at a open market.
If you have any questions on Sri Aurobindo please let me know.
So far and so long for now.

Could it be that they are mirroring your own negativity?
Not to say that they are not sending out bad vibes. But if your're
so receptive to it, what station are you tuned to? A similar one?
I confess I've recently gone through what you speak of. I was allowing
this one person's presence to annoy me so much I was getting very
negative towards her. When I realized how much energy this was taking
from me, I began meditating on the heart whenever near her. I blessed
her silently. Now when I am near her she no longer bothers me. I believe
her negative vibes brought out my own and gave me a chance to bring them
to my awareness to release.

I relate. But running would be the worst possible thing you can do.
Is this an opportunity to release your own negativity? Is something
being brought to your attention for a reason? For healing?
Sincerely,
David

They are in mental institutions because they live in a society that
denies the spiritual and Its' process. Not because they are called to
awaken.

Hi Kathy and all,
Maybe this is basic to some of you but it's something I just learned
last week.
I have a coworker who needs a new job. She has outgrown her current
position and this fills her with resentment. She gladly expresses this
to anyone who will listen. After a week of this, I found myself really
expressing some unkind remarks about her. This isn't like me.
What I learned is that when we are around negative people, we take on
their negative energy. My expression was a way of releasing that energy
within me. A wise man I know suggested a few simple ways to protect
myself and still be able to be in her presence.
* Stand with left side toward negative individuals. Apparently, this is
not the side that takes stuff in.
* Clasp hands in front of the stomach or with the left hand on the
stomach. My friend said that this completes our circuit and allows no
opening for negative energy.
It seems to be working for me. Thought it might be helpful for you.
We probably do mirror negativity. But sometimes, we just need to stay
clear while we figure things out. These techniques have been working for
me. Thought it might be helpful for you.
(I've passed these techniques on to a couple of my "normal" friends, and
they have been eager to try them out. I guess dealing with negative
people is a human experience!)
Namaste,
Nancy

Hi Linda... I pondered on this for a while after hearing you say it, and I
have to say that, I, too, would most likely choose to go through it once
again, even without the knowledge. It has brought me to such a more
beautiful place, in such a short time. I would have most likely never got to
this place on my own. I guess after seeing all the things I wrote to Evan,
put me in my own place of fear once again. All the losses I received were
either necessary, or temporary. I can see that now. Thank you for helping
me to see it from a different angle (just had to tilt my head a wee bit!)
I don't think any of us who wrote discouraging experiences meant to be
discouraging. They were just experiences we were sharing with each other.
And in every posting I read, I saw that we also gave the benefits brought
about, along with the bene-pits. I saw a balance of both in each posting.
So, let me change my vote right now for the question, 'Would you do it
again?' to a 'heavens yes!' instead of my prior 'hell no!'

The Ox> A difference in spiritual experience/belief is a big thing, but not too big. My partner lived a very different lifestyle from me, and we've had a pretty rocky time, but after all the work and difficulty we've experienced because of these differences, she seems to be discovering some solid ground inside of herself. She recently has somehow experienced something transforming, and I can't quite put my finger on it. Interestingly her desire about how to live has shifted and come much closer to mine. The thing is I didn't try to change her. I let her know clearly what I was doing, how I live and want to live in the future, and made it clear in my life (not so much in words) that that LIFE was me. I couldn't change it if I wanted to. Anyway, the reason I'm saying this is that if your boyfriend is your partner, you only have to love him. He is young and will change completely many times before he begins to settle. If you're commited to the relationship, you must remember that his beliefs don't affect who you are inside, and don't alter the truths you have discovered. If you show him who you are, with no obligation on his part to change, he will probably regect it. Then you show it again, and he'll reject it again. But water is stronger than rock. It all depends on how strong you are in your awareness of yourself, and your commitment to him. You are free to choose to seek another path, or hold firmly to this one.

Dear David, and Linda,
During the times I have worked in psychiatric hospital, the people I met
were there because they experienced ideation and emotional pain which was
intolerable to a degree that they disconnected from reality. It is difficult
to see the spiritual aspect of the paranoid cowering in the corner because
"people are trying to kill her."
Sincerely Seeking,
Ken
