Hello:
This is a topic we've talked about a couple of times. One I've been thinking about a lot recently. It was said earlier that all energy is One.
All is oneness. But to our fragmented perceptions there are distinctions between apples and oranges, dogs and cats. No, Chi and Kundalini are not
the same in that sense. Chi is life force. Raw energy of this earthly frame. Kundalini has many manifestations, all of them rising or dormant.
Chi transformed can become K. manifestation.
People powerful in Chi have smooth bright skin. Their hair is shiny. They learn to channel this energy, change it at will.
People powerful in Kundalini actively take part in the unfolding of
evolution. They reside in a physical frame but live more freely in their soul. They sing the song of Tom Bombadil. They are a cell in a more
subtle organism.

I've got a question that is a little off-topic, so it might be more
appropriate to reply privately.
About a week ago, I had a channelling session where the channeler was giving me information from one of my spirit guides. I was told that I was
part of a soul group called "Atlantians" whose mission was to aid in healing the planet.
Can anyone give me some info on the Atlantians or tell me where I could
find some?

b.) show women developing and then exerting their will.
The only 2 I have come up with are <Norma Ray>> and <Lorenzo's Oil>>.
Can any of you help me add to this list? Just beware of recommending those with hidden or final disasterous paybacks to our heroine - like Madame
Bovary, Anna Karenina and, more recently, Thelma and Louise.

It only suggests the ego/self is fighting, and you are locked into the
solar plexus. Don't stop, step back, observe without judgement during meditation and after. Simply detach and look at what is going through
your mind and emotions this detachment creates the space within for you to let go. In the letting go you move into a higher frequency. Your
objective is to get into the pure frequency of the heart center which is accomplished by recongizing the lower self, detaching and choosing to
let go which will take you directly into the truth. The truth sets you free. Gloria

Thank you so much for posting this. I have been deliberating whether or not
to spend the $150 on these tapes. Dr. Hunt's book has been one of the two best books I have found in helping me understand and work with kundalini
energy. (The other is John Selby's "Kundalini Awakening.") I suppose the cost is relative to the results you achieve. Having wasted $11,000 on sinus
surgery to alleviate the pain in my forehead, listening to tapes sounds like a wonderful alternative for opening the third eye.

The name of my teacher is Shri Anandi Ma. If you check the website at
http://www.dyc.org
you can get more information. The 1997 schedule which is listed there is pretty much
over and Anandi Ma will shortly be going to India for 4 months. However you will find a
list of various contact people at the website, as well as how to contact their main
office in Antioch, California. There will likely be a 1998 schedule.
Prior to going to Cleveland for Shaktipat i obtained some books and a tape through
Beck's Bookstore 4520 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60640

The books are by Shri Dhyanyogi Madhusudandasjy, who was Anandi Ma's guru in
India.
It is my understanding that Gurumayi Chidvilasananda can also give Shaktipat. Her
guru was Swami Muktananda, and she is associated with the Siddha Yoga Centers.
I have no experience with this group.

It has been a long time since I have seen the movie; I used to discuss it when teaching Racial and Ethnic Groups (cultural diversity
curriculum) at our local community college. Let's see what I can do here!
"A Stranger Among Us" is an older, underrated movie in which Melanie
Griffith plays a robbery/homicide detective for the N.Y.P.D. She investigates a death in a Hasidic neighborhood; she goes undercover by
living and working among the Hasids. She is exposed to the Hasidic spiritual community where people walk their talk (and walk their walk).
It is her first exposure to a spiritual community or way of life. Her experience of living among these people impacts her life. The movie well
depicts the questioning of this young, professional woman to the attitudes, values, beliefs, and behaviors or this group. She, in turn,
impacts the community in a touching way.
This film discusses some Jewish mysticism (i.e., the Kabbalah), as well as depicting a groups rituals. There are those that may criticise the
strict gender roles of Hasidic life (as well as Melanie G. in this role); but I think there is a deeper aspect to this film regarding women
and spirituality. I think it is worth viewing and worth some consideration. My students loved it!
Like I said, it has been quite some time since I have viewed the film.

Dear Ian, Opening to the third eye isn't unusual however, you need to reflect and
decide where you are going with this. If your motivation is to know God within then some things need to be looked at now in your decision making
time. When one really commits to that total search to know God within, it
doesn't matter if your focus is on the east for teaching or in the west, they are basically the same in that strict standards are there for the
seeker. If your motive is not to develop lower powers, psychic, etc. you avoid this detour by really focusing on the heart center and the direct
inner awareness of working with 'thy will and not my will.' This focus will establish your journey on a higher frequency then if you just go
about trying this and that. The other thing that happens is that you still stay in the I, me, mine
consciousness and develop some third eye awareness and you become very psychic which is an ultimate trap for the soul/spirit development. It
isn't to say that enlightenment won't happen some where down the line, but you take the long, long, way to the top of the mountain.
I teach always to focus the attention on the heart center which is the root chakra for spiritual development, the lower centers are all linked
to man, mind, desire, etc. From the fourth up is all about higher dimensions, frequencies, and becoming a cosmic force on earth. This is
really mans destiny but each create the dynamics of the experience. Glad to meet you. Gloria

James, did you ever hear the story about the man who dreamed of
diamonds? He was a poor farmer in Africa, and he finally coulnd't bear to stay on the farm...he sold it and went off to search for adventure
and diamonds. I hope that he found adventure, because he never found diamonds. The man who bought the farm worked hard and tilled soil that
the previous farmer had let lie fallow. He hit what he thought was a rock...it turned out to be the largest diamond in the world. True story.

Trust of the kundalini process is an individual choice. We all have to come to trust, some kicking and struggling. I did my share of struggle
